RE: Opioid Settlement funds available
The Jasper County Opioid Settlement Committee is pleased to announce that applications for Jasper County Opioid Settlement funding are now available to organizations serving Jasper County. Organizations may include but are not limited to schools, hospitals, medical and substance abuse providers, treatment centers, prevention organizations, etc. The committee is dedicated to awarding funding for projects that will have an impact in our community. The prevention and abatement of the use of opioids, along with the treatment of those with addictions to opioids are a few of the key focus areas for the funds.
The application and list of acceptable projects can be found on the Jasper County website http://jasperia.org/ or will be available at the Jasper County Health Department located at 315 W 3rd St N, Suite 100, Newton, Iowa. The first deadline for funding applications will be on April 30, 2023. If or when additional funding is available, future deadlines will be determined.
