Press release from jasper county commissioner of elections regarding absentee voting for Jasper County 2018 General Election

 

Dennis K. Parrott, Jasper County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections would like to announce that Absentee Voting in the Auditor’s Office for the upcoming November 6, 2018 Jasper County General Election will begin Monday, October 8, 2018. Regular office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.


Registered voters may also request a ballot be mailed to them by calling the office at 641-792-7016 and requesting an ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUEST FORM or you can find one on the Jasper County website: www.co.jasper.ia.us


New Law for 2018 Elections: When filling out the Absentee Ballot Request Form, the voter MUST include their Iowa Driver’s License or Non-Operator ID number OR the 4 digit PIN found on their Voter ID Card. The voter then completes the information on the request form and mails it back to the auditor’s office and an absentee ballot will be mailed to the voter. The deadline to request an Absentee Ballot by mail is Saturday, October 27, 2018.
