CONGREGATE MEALS

Serving the elderly in Jasper County since 1976

Providing on site and home delivered meals.

Jasper County Serves anyone 60 years of age or older and their spouse. Spouse need not be 60.

 

  • Newton: Serves both On Site and Home Delivered meals. Meals are served from 11:30 A.M. Monday through Friday. Call 641-792-6354 for reservations.

  • Colfax: Serves both On Site arid Home Delivered meals. Hours are 12:00 Noon, Monday through Friday. Call 641-674-4158 for reservations.

  • Kellogg: Serves only Home Delivered meals. Monday through Friday, call 515-526-8705.

  • Monroe: Serves both On Site and Home Delivered meals. Home Delivered meals are served 5 days a week and On Site Meals are served 3 days a week call 641-259-3234 for reservation.

There is no charge for the meals but donations are accepted and needed. The suggested donation range is $ 1.75 to $3.89. Food stamps are accepted.

  • Monthly programs at the meal sites

  • Diabetic and low salt meals are available, with a doctor's recommendation

  • Shelf stable meals for emergencies

  • Donations from local people and organizations

Jasper County Congregate meals provides services without regard to race, color, national origin, handicap or age. We also follow the Older Americans Act of 1965.
