This website is the result of years of cooperation between the various offices
and departments in Jasper County. In the early 1990's, Jasper County started
maintaining its cadastral maps on the computer. Jasper County contracted with
the Sidwell Company from St. Charles IL to obtain aerial photography of the
county and produce CAD drawings of their plat maps. In 2000, Jasper County took
the next step and obtained more aerial photography of the county only this time,
the aerials were delivered in computer files, not paper as it was delivered in
1991. The CAD maps were then converted to work with the new digital aerial
photos so they may be served on the web, which happened in 2004. Staff from the
various offices work together to maintain this system. Information from the
Assessment and the Tax Administration Systems have been incorporated with this
mapping component to enhance its value. Offices throughout the county government
use this data and maps daily. Workstations in the Assessor's office and
Auditor's Plat Room may be used by the public to access this information.

In order to improve the appearance of this website it is
recommended that the screen resolution be updated to 1024 by 768 pixels. If a
lower resolution is used, some of the information included will not be
displayed. Make sure that you have the screen maximized to view the entire
display. Browser software recommendations are Netscape 4.7 or greater or
Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater. The uppdated application will work with either
Netscape or Internet Explorer for MAC users. The map display will be slower on
dial-up lines or slower modems. Performance may be affected during time of peak
use for your host server. In some cases, increasing the space available on your
hard drive may improve response time. Jasper County will continue to work to
improve performance and enhance this website.
